Kick off the New Year with the Ponca State Park Hiking Marathon Challenge!
Ponca State Park has 22 miles of hiking trails with diverse scenery and skill levels. Hike all the trails at Ponca State Park between January 1 – March 11, 2017 to complete the challenge and have your name entered into a drawing for a door prize. All ages are welcome to participate.
This Hiking Marathon Challenge can be completed individually or with your family and friends. For guided group hikes, meet at the Resource and Education Center at 2:00pm on the Saturdays below. Record your completed hikes at the Resource and Education Center, open from 8:00am – 5:00pm.

January 7 – Bloodroot Trail – 1.6 Miles, Rated Easy
January 21 – Buffalo Run Trail – 3.4 Miles, Rated Moderate
January 28 – Prairie Loop Trail – 1 Mile, Rated Easy
February 4 – Bigley’s Ravine Trail – 2.1 Miles, Rated Moderate
February 11 – Backwater Trail – 4 Miles, Rated Easy
February 18 – Corps of Discover Trail – 1.4 Miles, Rated Moderate
February 25 – Whitetail Trail – 0.8 Miles, Rated Moderate
March 3 – Overlook Trail 1.2 Miles, Rated Moderate
A Park Entry Permit is required.
