The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and the Nebraska Fish and Game Association will host an ice-fishing clinic Jan. 21 at Yanney Heritage Park’s Environmental Resource Center from 8 a.m. – noon. This clinic will feature presentations by some of Nebraska’s top ice fishermen. An on-ice clinic will follow from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Yanney Lake.
Registration is requested for the classroom clinic. Email Harold Fankhauser at email@example.com to sign up. Those who register for the classroom clinic by 5 p.m. on Jan. 20 will be entered in a drawing for a new ice auger.
Registration is not required for the on-ice clinic.
Equipment and bait will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Families and ice anglers of all skill levels can receive guidance on techniques, equipment, bait and safety. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment. Hot cocoa will be served.
