Have Fun at Ponca State Park!

9:00–10:30 am Egg Painting— Egg painting is an Easter tradition. Use your creative imaginations to decorate Easter eggs. Paint, markers, and other decorating materials will be provided. Meet at the Resource and Education Center. Cost is $1 per 3 eggs.

11:00 am Exciting Eggs— Did you know that the average hen lays 300 eggs in a year? Join us to learn more about egg-laying animals in Nebraska. We will also be feeding a snake to demonstrate how they might swallow an egg whole. Meet the Resource and Education Center. Free.

2:00 pm Easter Egg Hunt— Do you have what it takes to find the golden eggs? Take the whole family to the Resource and Education Center for our traditional Easter Egg Hunt. Meet in the Resource and Education Center. Free.

3:30 pm Spring Hike— Spring is a beautiful time to hike the trails at Ponca State Park. During this hike, we will be looking for woodland wildflowers and mushrooms on Bigley’s Ravine Trail (1.7 miles). Camera, binoculars, and pets are welcome. Meet at the Resource and Education Center. Free.

8:30 pm Glow-in-the-Dark Easter Egg Hunt — Bring your flashlights and take on the challenge of the Glow-in-the- Dark Easter Egg Hunt. Limited flashlights will be provided. Please dress for the weather. Meet the at Riverfront Campground. Free.
