Flock to Ponca State Park February 15-16 for a romantic Birds & Breakfast getaway. During the month of February, the National Audubon Society conducts the Great Backyard Bird Count and on Saturday, February 16th birders of all ages are welcome to join members of the Loess Hills Audubon Society in conducting the Great Backyard Bird Count at Ponca State Park. The Great Backyard Bird Count gives scientists a snapshot of the distribution of birds just before spring migration and data gathered over a period of years helps scientists determine a species’ range; if it is expanding or shrinking.
