Pre-K Nature Tails Program @ Online-ZOOM

Gather your little ducklings, tadpoles, and bookworms for Nebraska Game and Parks’ new pre-k virtual nature program- Nature Tails!
Every Tuesday at 10am (Central Time) our outdoor educators from across the state will be reading a nature-themed children’s book in collaboration with the theme that week via ZOOM. After a short book there will be a quick activity for kiddos and families to participate in.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate as well.
**Can’t make it one week? Don’t worry about missing out. All the videos will be recorded and uploaded so your little cubs can watch whenever they want.

Growing Up WILD Educator Workshop- Teaching with the Seasons @ Online-ZOOM
Feb 9 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

This workshop requires pre-registration.  Participants must attend BOTH days of the workshop to receive materials: Tuesday February 2nd & Tuesday February 9th.

Using the high-quality, easy-to-use Growing Up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children guide, we will explore hand-picked activities to engage early learners in the changing seasons.
Who should attend?
Educators, after school program leaders & in-home daycare providers who work with children 3 through 7 years of age.
Participants will receive:
Growing Up WILD- an educational activity guide with 21 lesson plans and 3 hours of of approved in-service.
This is a two day workshop:

The updated curriculum builds upon changing wildlife conservations needs and advances in instructional methodology in Pre-k through 12th grade education. With new content in every activity including outdoor learning opportunities, STEM extensions as well as career connections.
