Autumn Harvest Art Show @ Eugene T. Mahoney State Park
Oct 5 @ 9:00 am – 8:00 pm

Hosted by Prairie Images. Many famous and reputable national artists from four states will be offering their work for display and sale Oct. 5-6. Located in the Peter Kiewit Lodge at Mahoney State Park.

The works of art will include wildlife, landscape, cityscape, portrait, still life, Native American, Southwest, Americana and Impressionist paintings in a variety of mediums. There also will be sculpture, wood carving, nature and wildlife photography, rustic metal sculpture and pottery.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 5 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the following day. Park entry permit required.

32nd Annual Pumpkin Carving Festival @ Calamus State Recreation Area
Oct 19 @ 9:30 am – 10:00 pm

When: October 19th 9:30 am to 10:00 pm

Where: Calamus SRA Homestead Knolls Campground

What: Join us for the 32nd Annual Pumpkin Carving Festival. There will be pumpkin carving all day and a kids fun zone from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm. Snow cones and cotton candy will be available along with face painting and games. Back by popular demand pumpkin launching at the Homestead boat ramp. There will be a pot luck lunch at noon for those camping during the festival.

Pumpkins will be limited this year so please bring your own if possible.

4:30 pm Homestead Knolls campground will close to all traffic and will only be accessible by foot or trolley. Carved pumpkins will be on display from 5:00pm to 10:00pm.

Park entry permit required.
