Those ages 11-15 who have completed their online firearm/bowhunter or bowhunter-only safety course must attend a Hunt Safe session to complete their proof of hunter education. Registration and details available online at HuntSafeNebraska.org.

Unravel the mystery, excitement and challenge of spring turkey hunting. We will discuss basics, biology, scouting, equipment, strategies and more. This FREE workshop is designed for those with limited experience and is ideal for those wanting to expand into this addicting pursuit.

Becoming an Outdoors Woman Archery Learning Series @ Platte River State Park
May 2 @ 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

For girls and women ages 12 and up who want to learn how to shoot a bow, increase their knowledge in archery, see equipment made for women, meet other women who shoot or just have fun.

The series includes May 2 – Intro to Archery, May 9 – Shopping for Woman’s Bows and May 16 – Fun with Archery.

Not required to attend all three.

Each week is $15.00 each.

Try out fishing, archery, kayaking, camping and outdoor cooking, among other activities. See, touch and learn more about Nebraska fish and wildlife species from wildlife biologists.
