Hunter Education New Instructor Training @ Cabelas Corporate Offices

New Instructor Training is required for all individuals who have applied to become a Firearm and/or Bowhunter Education Instructor with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Others interested in becoming a hunter education instructor who have not yet applied may also attend and complete an application at this training — teaching materials are provided at this training.

Learn to Hunt-Predator @ Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center

Predator calling is one of the most exciting hunts. Join Nebraska Game and Parks staff to learn about the many techniques used to hunt these elusive creatures. This FREE workshop will focus on coyote, bobcat, fox and raccoon hunting. Participants will learn how to use game calls, scout for success, critter biology and much more.

Woman’s Squirrel Hunt Workshop & Mentored Hunt @ Outdoor Education Center

Becoming an Outdoors Woman Workshop.  Join a team of fun instructors in an educational workshop, rifle sight-in and a hunt to introduce squirrel hunting.  Squirrels are plentiful and fun to hunt!  This small game is a good introduction to sport hunting.  Orientation, safety instruction and firearms sighting will bee Friday evening 6 – 9 pm.  The hunt will be on a Wildlife Management Area near Lincoln on Saturday.  Ladies must be 16 years or older to participate.  Hunt permit and habitat stamp will be required.

Pr-registration is required by December 1.  The cost of $30 includes Friday workshop, lunch on Saturday, guided hunt and instruction.
