Looking for a little direction for your range practice? Maybe a bit of challenge? Look no further!

All league courses of fire are untimed and each week’s score may be shot any time during the range’s open hours, Monday through Sunday. While weekly submissions are encouraged, the sole deadline is that all targets must be submitted by 3/21/21 at 6 pm (all targets must be shot at the Outdoor Education Center).

*New* Weekly skill builders from our range staff will be available to all looking to improve their scores.

Ages 10 and up. Minors must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian. Leagues run for 8 weeks, with scores recorded each week and a cumulative score for the series. Individual prizes will be awarded depending on number of entries (1 per 5) and based on an improvement formula (not high scores).

*New* Participants may choose to use their individual scores toward a team score. Teams consist of (up to) 4 shooters. Team members may be specified during registration, or participants may join a randomly assigned team. Each person participating in a team must check that option during registration. Team prizes will be awarded depending on number of entries (1 per 3) and based on cumulative high score.

CENTERFIRE PISTOL

Shooters will provide their own handgun and ammunition. All centerfire pistols compete in the same division.

50 shots total on AP-1 target (23″ X 35″)

RIMFIRE PISTOL

Shooters will provide their own handgun. Shooters have the option of bringing their own ammo or selecting to use range ammo. All rimfire pistols compete in the same division.

50 shots total on B-33 target

RIMFIRE RIFLE

Shooters will provide their own rifle. Shooters have the option of bringing their own ammo or selecting to use range ammo. All rimfire rifles compete in the same division.

This is a stand-alone match open to pistols from all manufacturers. The course of fire will be the same as the GSSF Indoor League Series.

Competitors may shoot up to 4 divisions – Stock, Unlimited, Single Stack/Revolver, and Rimfire. For division descriptions, see below. First entry is $20, second is $10, third is $5, and fourth is $5. Secondary entries in the same division are $5 each and may only be registered for on-site.

This match will follow GSSF’s ‘Original’ course of fire for Stock, Unlimited, and Rimfire and ‘Option E’ for Single Stack/Revolver. For target, distance, rounds, and timing specifications, see PDF under Extra Details at left.

Schedule:

Tuesday, February 9th: Check in available starting at 1 pm; check in closes at 6:30 pm.

Saturday, February 13th: Check in available starting at 8 am; check in closes at 11:30 am.

Due to social distancing measures, a reduced number of lanes will be available. Preregister to schedule a check in (squadding) time. Competitors will otherwise be squadded according to arrival time, but may have to wait enter the facility/range.

PRIZES

A pair of Bluetooth earmuffs or Annual Pass – Indoor Firearm Individual (winner’s choice) will be awarded in a random prize drawing after completion of the match. Competitors who shoot multiple divisions and/or multiple entries within a division may have their name entered once for each completed course of fire.

For each division ONLY the first entry will be placed in the results rankings.

Stock awards will use a modified Lewis prize allocation system to distribute awards as equitably as possible.

The division entries will be ranked and then split into thirds (i.e., the top one-third is A class, the second one-third is B class, and the third one-third is C class). Shirts or hats will be awarded to the top competitor of each class for the Stock division.

Shirts or hats will be awarded for Unlimited, Single Stack/Revolver, and Rimfire divisions, and special recognition categories Woman, Senior (55+), and Junior (<18) in the Stock division.

Additional prizes may be awarded by random drawing.

Rimfire (Optical Sights)

Any .22 or .17 caliber firearm using a scope, red dot, or laser sight that wouldn’t be permitted in the Iron Sights Division.

Centerfire

Any centerfire rifle that meets range standards. Max energy of round at 25 yard impact is 2750 ft/lb. Centerfire ammunition containing steel in the core or jacket of the bullet is not permitted.

*Minimum 15 participants to give away Bluetooth Earmuffs or Annual Pass. If minimum isn’t reached, a prize of lesser value will be awarded instead.
